Piece of advice

“My mom always said, ‘If at first, you don’t succeed try, try again.’ Her advice paid off, I almost flunked out of high school and college. But I never gave up I was determined to be the first in my family to graduate from college. I kept trying. I have now graduated three times with honors.”

Teaching Style
Every student has the right to be heard. Teachers must learn to listen to their students' words, attitudes, energies, and behaviors in order to better support their learning experience. Not every student learns the same way. As a teacher, I choose to meet students at their skill level. This helps me understand how they learn and what can I do to streamline those learning processes.
